Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms on your behalf.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• If you think your account has been compromised, email legal@iwantmymtg.net so I can help.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data beyond normal use of the features.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission.
• Use the Service to store or distribute illegal, infringing, or abusive content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Card data and prices

Card information (names, images, set data) is sourced from public data providers such as MTGJSON and Scryfall. Pricing data is pulled from third-party sources and may be delayed, approximate, or inaccurate. The Service is a personal collection tracking tool and the information displayed is not a recommendation or basis for any financial decision.

Affiliate links

The Service includes affiliate links (currently to TCGPlayer via Impact). When you click a "Buy on TCGPlayer" link and make a purchase, the Service may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This funds the hosting and development of the Service.

Portions of I Want My MTG are unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Magic: The Gathering and its associated names, artwork, and trademarks are the property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. I Want My MTG is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.

The Service's original code, copy, and design are the property of Matthew Towles. Content you add to your own inventory (notes, transaction data) remains yours.

Service availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. I may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or present a security or legal risk to the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matthew Towles is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for free accounts, is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes I will also email active users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
